Breakfast For Success: MPS’ Plan

National School Breakfast Week is March 2-6. How is Minneapolis Public Schools celebrating? Ashley Nitzkorski, a dietitian at Minneapolis Public Schools’ Culinary & Wellness Department, joins Manny Hill to discuss just that. How does eating a nutritious breakfast tie in to brain function and school success for students? Ashley also shares how MPS has been innovating breakfast options to include more protein and less sugar. Ashley also highlights the availability of free breakfast for all students at MPS and shares tips for parents to encourage their children to eat breakfast, even if they aren’t initially hungry.
