Hey MPS Voices and Jazz88 Listeners,
the big cheese here. I hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I went to the Holidazzle the other day and had a great time. Seeing the yeti was probably the highlight of my week! I also got some nice photos with these adorable santa bears at Dayton’s (pictured above.)
As all of the holiday festivities continue to ramp up I just wanted to take the time to shout out three of my favorite unconventional holiday songs. I know that I personally get kind of bored of hearing the same 10 holiday songs. As a result, I wanted to share a few less traditional songs for you to checkout!
The first song that I wanted to shout out is called Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses. This song is about the busyness and stress that the holiday season can bring. This song really does a great job illustrating the need to just take a second to breathe as everything gets so crazy during this time of the year. If you’re currently feeling a little stressed out this is the holiday song for you!
The next song that I have to recommend is by one of my personal favorite artists Lemon Demon. If you are looking for weird holiday themed techno music I would definitely recommend his holiday album called I Am Become Christmas. My favorite song from this album is called Aurora Borealis. It’s a cute song about wanting to find love in an apocalypse during the holiday season. If any of this sounds intriguing I would totally recommend checking out this song!
The final song that I have to recommend to you was released this year. So many Christmas songs are filled with love and talking about falling in love, but this holiday song is the exact opposite. This song is about not wanting to see someone after a rough relationship during the holidays. So if you’re looking for a bit more of a sad song, you should totally check it out! The song is called Merry Christmas, Please Don’t Call by the Bleachers.
I hope that you’ll check out a song or two that I mentioned and enjoy them!
