MPS Celebrates Black History Month As February Is Full Of Events
February is of course Black History Month. How does Minneapolis Schools plan to celebrate? Tiki Blackamore, Engagement and Outreach Specialist at MPS, has all the details! Tiki joins Manny Hill to discuss the importance of Black History Month and the events organized by MPS. Key events include an art gallery exhibit at the Davis Center showcasing student artwork on self-care, the popular “Cooking With Soul” which features a cooking demonstration with a community chef and students, and a music celebration highlighting various African American music genres.
